Plus Size Halloween

It sucks. Being overweight on Halloween. It's the absolute worst.

Today I went to a costume warehouse with my skinny friends. It was a miserable experience. There were only 2 or 3 really horrible plus size costumes out of maybe a hundred. I didn't even attempt to try them on. They were horrible. Not a good feeling. I felt quiet and upset.

Nobody wants to be the ugly, chubby girl on Halloween, surrounded by people in sexy, fun costumes!

So, I spent the whole rest of the day in bed and then binged.

Anyone relate?

  1. I have always felt like that, as though everyone else enjoys Halloween so much and it's just a humongous reminder of how fat you are. I'm so sorry that you had that experience. It might take some extra creativity, but I'm sure you can create a totally kick ass costume for yourself! Don't lose faith! And you are definitely not alone. xoxo.

  2. Maybe next time avoid situations where you know you'll feel triggered to feel bad for yourself and binge. Alcoholics should avoid bars so they don't drink, people with eating disorders should avoid whatever makes them binge. It's hard though, I know, especially if you are trying to be more social. Good luck!

  3. Do you guys have any ideas of a cool costume that I could make and not feel gross/fat in? What do you plan to dress up as?

  4. Agree with recovering anorexic - avoid a situation that you know is going to make you feel bad. I NEVER go shopping with my skinny friends, EVER.

I'm not dressing up this Halloween... but here's one pic I found,r:7,s:0&biw=1280&bih=617

so cute -- flattering and sexy!
